Use Google Drive with Twist


Share any file from your Google Drive with your team on Twist. Here’s how:

  1. Click the paperclip icon in the bottom left of your comment or to the right of your message.
  2. Select Google Drive.
  3. If this is the first time you access your Google Drive, sign in to your account.
  4. Choose the file you want to share and click Select.
  5. The selected file will be uploaded, turned into a Markdown link, and added to your comment or message.

How can I access files from a different Google account?

You’ll need to disconnect Twist via Google Drive:

  1. Visit Google Drive.
  2. In the top-right corner, press the gear icon and select Settings.
  3. On the left, select the Manage apps tab.
  4. Scroll down until you see Twist and press Options.
  5. Choose Disconnect from Drive.
  6. Confirm by pressing Disconnect.

Next time you try to add a Google Drive file, you'll be able to sign in with a different account.

Can I attach files from a shared Google Drive folder?

Yes, but only if the owner of the file has granted you permission to share it.

How can I remove a file?

Simply remove the link from your message or comment and delete the file preview:
  1. Click the three dot icon to the left of your message or to the right of your comment.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Remove the URL and click Save.
